Building beyond the year of return
For 30 years, Morehouse's Africa Awareness Week (AAW) has served as a bridge connecting students, faculty, and the global African community through impactful initiatives. What began as a platform for dialogue and academic research in 1995 has evolved into a dynamic effort that includes on-the-ground projects, partnerships with African institutions, and innovative solutions addressing the continent's most pressing challenges.
Our history includes successful initiatives like the Reforestation Brigade, the Solar Pioneers Program, and the MPAGE Study Abroad Initiative, which have empowered students to become change agents across Africa. This year, as we focus on shaping Africa's sustainable future, we aim to expand our efforts in renewable energy, sustainable development, and digital education.
Join us as we celebrate progress and continue the vital work of restoring and uplifting our precious mother Africa.
